Everyone walks through fire. Pain, disappointment, loss, and betrayal. We may not get to choose the fire we walk through, but we do get to choose who walks with us in it.

In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into a furnace because they refused to bow to the golden statue. But when they came out of the fire, the Bible says in verse 27, "no smell of fire had come upon them."

They trusted God not only for what He could do, but for who He was.

God didn't keep them from the fire, He met them in it.

They went through the fire, but the fire didn't become their identity.

The fire that was meant to destroy Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego became the place where God revealed His presence. What was meant to bind them became what God used to set them free.

You will walk through fire, but you don't have to smell like smoke.

Jesus wants His presence to become your perfume.

Isaiah 43:2b "when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."
